Background

The Practice has been included on the list of approved Architects by Derby City Council for a number of years and has led to numerous commissions for Consultancy Services, including ;

£220,000 Refurbishment Contract for 24 Council Maisonettes at Duke Street & Bath Street completed in 1994

£500,000 Council Housing Upgrading Contract Phase 6 at St. Marks Estate in Chaddesden finished in 1997

CAD/CAM Design & Working Drawings for a new £1.2m 210-place Primary School at Oakwood in 1998/99

Pre-War Council Housing Improvements Contract at Alvaston, valued £300,000, completed in 1999

Five-phased Housing Improvements Contract totalling £1.2m on the outskirts of Derby completed in 2001


Exeter House Scheme

The Client brief required the comprehensive internal and external Refurbishment of a run-down U-shaped 3-storey Block of 45 Council Flats, which had not been updated since construction between the wars, including new automated security barriers to a newly formed landscaped central parking courtyard, complete with communal sitting areas and facilities for the tenants.

Budget & Final Costs

The scheme was completed on time and to the budgeted Contract Value of £520,000, including comprehensive external works.
